Do you still remember the charity game last summer that carried Guangzhou away?
2019 Cedar International Trust Jeremy Lin All-Star Game brought together big stars, including Jeremy Lin, Jay Chou, Li Yifeng, Allen Deng, etc. to present an exhilarating event for over 10,000 audiences.
Those in the stadium got so pumped up by a team of stars playing against another, and so did people in the remote areas receiving helps from this game. On the same day of the game, Cedar International Trust made a donation to Jeremy & Li Qun Sports Foundation, supporting their “Basketball Court Construction and Renovation Programme” in a number of schools in Guangdong's mountainous areas.
A total of 11 basketball courts have been built in 5 schools in mountainous areas of Qingyuan and Shaoguan in Guangzhou so far, covering 6586 m2. All of them are FIBA regulation size basketball court with foundation made of high-quality concrete and acrylic surface, used to create an environmentally friendly, safe and comfortable sports space for children.
April 27 is the date when ninth graders and twelfth graders in Guangdong province offcially went back to school. For students of the below mentioned schools, they will be welcomed by the campus separated from them for more than three months as well as a huge surprise - the brand-new basketball courts.
Yang Mei School, Qingyuan
Tan Zhao School, Qinyuan
Da Lang School, Qinyuan
Xin Yu School, Qingyuan
Cheng Jiang School, Shanguan
Such a fancy court deserves a frenzy game!
Here they come!
That's him doing a baseline jump shot.
That's him dribbling for a counter-attack.
That' him breaking through the defence.
That's him shooting a three pointer.
Through this project,
Cedar International Trust aims to help
more sports-lovers and basketball fans from mountainous areas
turn their basketball dream into reality.
What's more,
Jeremy Lin will share his professional experience as a basketball star player in this project
as another contribution to the basketball training for Chinese youth.
