On September 29, the ground-breaking ceremony of Cedar Copper-Based New Materials Industrial Base (hereinafter referred to as "Guangde Park") took place.

Cedar Copper-Based New Materials Industrial Base uses commercial copper as raw materials and cutting-edge technologies as well as facilities to develop new materials featuring high performance, technology and precision. It is expected to reach 45,000 tons in an annual production and RMB 2.5 billion in annual output value. It will become a key base of copper-based new materials R&D and production of Southern China and an important part of high-quality integration of Guangzhou and Qingyuan.

Integration of Guangzhou and Qingyuan acts a key pilot project of integration of Pan-Pearl River Delta region and the Greater Bay Area. Li Xi, Guangdong Provincial Party Secretary, suggested that Qingyuan seized the precious opportunities right now to join Guangzhou in integrating into the Greater Bay Area. Zhang Shuofu, Guangzhou Municipal Party Secretary also emphasized the importance of constructing Guangzhou-Qingyuan Special Cooperation Zone in Guangzhou-Qinyuan fringe for quality growth of both cities.

Built by Huangpu District (Guangzhou Development District), Guangde Park is one of the three industrial parks of Guangzhou-Qingyuan Special Cooperation Zone. It is designed to promote the integration of Guangzhou and Qingyuan as well as the coordinated development of Pearl River Delta and Greater Bay Area.

On May 13, 2020, Cedar Commodities Supply Chain Group (Cedar Commodities) and Guangzhou-Yingde Industrial Park of Guangzhou-Qingyuan Special Cooperation Zone signed the Investment and Cooperation Agreement for Cedar Copper-Based New Materials Industrial Base. Just four months later, construction of the industrial base is about start.

Rapid implementation of this construction project largely owes to quality service and sound business environment provided by Guangde Park. The administration committee of the Guangde Park not only ensured the availability of well-functioning infrastructure for the project, but also provided a number of preferential policies, according to senior executives from Cedar Commodities.

As promised by the Director of the Administration Committee of Guangde Park, staff there will make it convenient for the construction of Cedar Copper-Based New Materials Industrial Base and provide quality government service like a babysitter. Guangde Park and Cedar Commodities working together will take the development of Guangde Park to a new height.

It is noted that Cedar Copper Group has become one of the largest enamelled wires and copper rod makers of South China. It boasts top-notched R&D strengths and manufacturing processes of high-end materials including ultra fine enameled wire which are widely used in 5G industrial chain, new energy vehicles, smart appliances and other high-end equipment manufacturing sectors.
