Cedar’s Qingyuan-Yingde Magnet Wire Production Facility, as part of Cedar Copper-Based New Materials Industrial Base of Cedar Holdings was found on the Guangdong Key Construction Project Plan 2021 List, under the category of industrial engineering projects.
On May 13, 2019, Cedar Commodities Supply Chain Group and Guangzhou-Yingde Industrial Park (hereinafter referred to as "Guangde Park") signed the Investment and Cooperation Agreement for Cedar Copper-Based New Materials Industrial Base. Four months later, the cornerstone of the industrial base was laid.
Using industrial copper raw materials, Cedar’s industrial base adopts cutting-edge technology and manufacturing equipment for R&D of copper-based new materials, which will be widely used in telecommunication system, sophisticated medical equipment, aerospace, robotics, advanced equipment and information technology. The facility is expected to generate an annual output of 45,000 tonnes, which could reach a valuation of RMB 2.5 billion when achieving economies of scale.
In addition to innovation breakthrough in the advanced manufacturing, this project will make use of Cedar’s experience in commodities sector to channel market resources from Guangzhou and the Greater Bay Area to Qingyuan, contributing to the integration of Qingyuan and the Greater Bay Area.
