The Department of Industry and Information Technology of Shandong Province issued a notice on July 14, announcing the list of provincial-level green factories (first batch). Among them was Qixiang Tengda, a subsidiary of Cedar Holdings.
According to the notice, governments and relevant departments at all levels in Shandong Province will step up policy support for this first batch of provincial-level green factories, strengthen alignment between green factories and relevant industrial policies, coordinate local supporting funds, and prioritize green manufacturing system construction projects for existing government funding support. Financial institutions will also be encouraged to provide convenient and favorable guarantee services and credit support for green factories. Comprehensive demonstration roles will lead the green transformation of local manufacturing.

• Introducing the world’s most environmentally friendly process technology for propylene oxide (PO) production, adopting world-leading green processes in China.
• Adopting the direct oxidation process of tert-Butyl alcohol for the 20 KTA MMA project. This environmentally friendly process is included in the national Catalogue of Green Petrochemical Engineering Processes (2020 Edition).
• Already the world’s largest production capacity, the company will scale up capacity for the leading product maleic anhydride, an important raw material for biodegradable material PBS.

It meets the emissions standards for various pollutants, while 100% of sewage and flue gas are discharged in line with the standards.
